For all of us that grew up with the SNES you know what I'm talking about.Įven to this day it's still regarded as one of the best in the series. What I'm waiting for is the remake to the greatest Final Fantasy of all time.
I wasn't a big fan of V but it had some solid gameplay and an awesome soundtrack. However, now that we have a more powerful handheld, I think we might actually get FFV and VI.
Now that the DS's life has come to an end, we know they won't be released for that system. So it would only make sense that they'd release FFV and then FFVI, right? Well after the success of FFIV, we heard nothing from Square-Enix about giving the last 2 SNES classics the same treatment. Not only is it remade and remastered but it has voice acting as well! It not only sold well, but got excellent reviews too. So FFIII sells extremely well and sticking to their word, Square-Enix releases Final Fantasy IV DS. When asked if they would remake other entries in the series they had said 'if the remake of FFIII sells well, we would love to'. As we all know, the Nintendo DS was the only console/handheld to receive a completely remade and remastered version of Final Fantasy III for the DS.
